A couve repolho foi a cultura que ocupou maior área (3 726 hectares), ultrapassando a superfície de abóbora (2 941 hectares). A área de couve- brócolo também aumentou (+24%), ultrapassando os 2,5 mil hectares. A área de grelos foi a que apresentou maior decréscimo (-988 hectares), seguida da ervilha (-424 hectares). In 2016, total fresh vegetable area was 33 340 hectares (-3% compared to 2015), with a slight producton increase from 2015 (+2%). Drumhead cabbage occupied the largest area (3 726 hectares), surpassing pumpkin (2 941 hectares). Broccoli area also increased (+24%) to over 2.5 thousand hectares. Turnip greens area suffered the greatest decrease (-988 hectares), followed by pea area (-424 hectares).
